Idris Elba after tested positive with “coronavirus” said to people “stay at home”

British actor Idris Elba announced that he tested positive of Coronavirus through a tweet on his Twitter account, explaining that he had placed himself in the home quarantine without showing any symptoms yet.

“I was confirmed with Covid-19 virus. I am in good condition and have not had any symptoms yet, but I have isolated myself since I discovered that I might have been exposed to the virus,” the actor tweeted.

The 47-year-old added, “Stay at home and have a practical sense,” without explaining the country he is currently in.

Elba has attached his tweet to a video clip showing him next to his wife, Sabrina Dor.

“Sabrina was not examined and she is in good health (…) I was examined because I was in contact with someone who was found to be infected,” he said in the video, stressing the necessity to follow hygiene instructions and stay away from others to eliminate the epidemic.

It is noteworthy that Idris Elba became famous in the 2002 series through the police series “The Wire”. He received a medal from Queen Elizabeth II in 2015 and participated in huge productions in Hollywood, including “Thor” and “The Avengers”.

He also played the hero of the struggle against apartheid in South Africa Nelson Mandela in the movie “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.” His name was frequently mentioned to take on the role of the famous secret agent in the “James Bond” film series.
